Program Objectives

Emphasize motor and foundational skills through developmentally appropriate training and coaching.  Build athletes through a multi-sport approach in tennis programming and cross-promotion with other sports
and activities.
 Focus on creating a fun, positive, and engaging atmosphere within a team culture rather than on wins and losses.

Provide parents and players with the information they need to guide their tennis development.

8 Week Lesson Structure

Week 1 - 4

Week 5 - 8

Teach the mechanics and technique of groundstrokes, volleys, overheads, and the serve. Utilization of Tees and tools allows the players to focus on the technique and build confidence.

Players are introduced to hand-eye control exercises and movement for both the ground strokes and net play. Using the skills and techniques taught in the first 4 weeks, players are also introduced to point play.

The focus during these 4 weeks is point-play and FUN! Players have the opportunity to utilize their new skills and compete against the other players in the group. The final week culminates the program with games and a party!
